چکیده

A 15 month old baby girl with pulmonary atresia, ventricular septal defect, and multiple aortopulmonary collateral arteries underwent rotational ablation assisted balloon angioplasty of a severely stenosed collateral artery that had previously proved undilatable using a high pressure non-compliant balloon angioplasty catheter. It is postulated that the rotablation debulked a fibrotic stricture within the artery to facilitate eVective balloon dilatation. Rotational ablation assisted angioplasty may have a role to play in congenital stenotic lesions that are “undilatable”. (Heart 1998;79:203–204)

Unruptured Giant Aneurysm of The Inferior Pancreaticoduodenal Artery with Superior Mesenteric Artery Stenosis Obstructed by Spontaneous Thrombosis After Superior Mesenteric Artery Angioplasty: A Case Report

Most pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysms involve celiac trunk stenosis or occlusion. Few cases have been related to superior mesenteric artery (SMA) stenosis, and none of these was treated with SMA angioplasty before transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) or operative resection of the aneurysm. We treated a 79-year-old woman with incidentally detected inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery ane...

High frequency rotational ablation: an alternative in treating coronary artery stenoses and occlusions.

OBJECTIVE To prove the safety and effectiveness of high frequency rotational ablation of coronary artery stenoses and occlusion in humans. SUBJECTS 106 patients with symptoms (91 men, 15 women) who had 67 significant stenoses, mainly types B and C, and 46-chronic occlusions. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES Mean change in diameter stenosis after rotational angioplasty alone and in combination with per...

Flow reversal in coronary collaterals P. URBAN, B. MEIER AND L. FINCI

We report a case of a patient in whom collateral flow originating from the left anterior descending coronary artery was initially associated with a right coronary artery stenosis; seven months after successful angioplasty of the right coronary artery lesion, a severe left anterior descending stenosis developed and induced reversed collateral flow from the right coronary artery through the same ...
